Many parents WANT to have successful and delicious family dinners together.  But some moms and dads find it hard to cook for a family where different members have different food sensitivities or allergies.  It would be hard and time consuming to cook several different meals each night!  No wonder they often feel discouraged.

Never fear!  I myself have a few children with different food sensitivities, the main one being dairy.  What I’ve found has been life changing for me and has boosted my energy in cooking for and gathering my family for meals more often.  I call them BASE MEALS.

What is that you ask?  Well, I take a recipe or meal idea and “boil” it down to it’s base ingredients.  That way after it’s cooked, my kids can add things to them according to their certain set of allergies.  Here are several of my favorite go-to, healthy BASE meals that I hope you can enjoy!

Potato Soup

Crockpot chili beans

Shredded beef tacos/tostadas

Ground beef enchiladas

Crispy baked chicken
